12th July 2019

Hello and welcome to this weeks blog post.

We started the week with sports day on Monday, it was amazing to see so many family members and the children were all fantastic!
Please note that we break up for the summer at midday on Friday 19th July.  We will return on Thursday 5th September.  We would like you to take all of your children's belongings home for the summer holidays to allow us to clean and tidy.
Please return questionnaires by Thursday 18th July, we welcome feedback and will use this when making plans to improve our service to you and the children.
On Thursday 18th July we will be hosting a leavers afternoon tea.  This is for the class 2 children and their families.  Please do let us know if you are attending to ensure we have enough seats!!
This week in Class 2 we have visited school Reception Class on Monday and today.  At Forest School we found a stick man and the children then made their own!  There has been lots of water play in the garden and the children have been looking after the plants, next week we will be picking the fruit and vegetables to try.  We also have a visit from Matthew French, he showed the children his medals from clay pigeon shooting and they asked him lots of questions.

In Class 1 this week they have been exploring herbs with playdough, playing group games such as the 'shopping list' and listening activities, block play with tools and making paint from powder.  We also played hide and seek at Forest School.

Please remember to put sun cream on your child before they come into Pre-School and send it a sunhat.
We still need a lot more help at this year's fete, please do let us know if you can help on the day or bake a cake. The quote to replace Class 1's artificial grass is around £5000 and we have currently raised just over £1000, please help us reach our target.
