Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post.  

 Tonight is our Disco, tickets are still available on the door.  All money raised will help towards the improvement of Class 1's garden!



We have continued to count down the days for the eggs to hatch.  We now have just 7 sleeps (approximately)!



In Class 2 we climbed a ladder at Forest school and explored all of the new growth.  The children have been experimenting by mixing cornflour and water, then later in the week custard power and water.  We have started the cake station this week and the children have been adding their name to the waiting list, using their name label as guidance.  We have used the tap tap shapes to make pictures and putting together puzzles.  It has been very wet this week and we used powder paint to mix with the rain water and made pictures using the brooms.  



In Class 1 the children have been exploring messy play with the shaving foam and the sand.  They have also started helicopter stories, with the children making up their own and adult scribes it for them.  The children are then invited to act this out on stage at the end of the session.  It has been a wet week and although the children have been playing outside in the rain they also needed the opportunity to be more physical inside so they made an obstacle course.  Today the children went to Forest School, they explored the area and searched for mini beasts.

Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post.   This week we have added 20 eggs to our incubator and we now need to wait 21 sleeps (approximately) for them to hatch! Class 2 have started planting, if you can donate any seeds or plants please take an item from the wish list (on Class 1’s garden fence).   We also have a new water table and the children have been exploring this.   Some of the children wanted to find out more about nocturnal animals and used the iPad.   We also found ladybirds in the garden and added them to the bug hotel. In Class 1 the children have been role playing as fire fighters, they used spray bottles filled with water to put out the fire. They have also measured how tall the sweet peas have grown. Tomorrow the staff team will be attending Helicopter Stories training with Trisha Lee from make believe arts.   Caroline has already attended training with Trisha and the children in Class 2 enjoy making up their own stories to act out on ‘stage’.   So

Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post.   T his week we have been counting down the days waiting for the eggs to hatch.  We now need to wait 14 sleeps (approximately). Today we had a visit from some lambs and the children from both classes had an opportunity to meet them. Class 2 have some new tadpoles and the children have been watching them eat the lettuce we have fed them.  Earlier in the week, some of the children found mint in the garden and wanted to use it in the mud kitchen.  We then provided some mint in the classroom for the children to explore with scissors and mix with various media.  The children have been making pirate maps using teabags and using chalks to make marks in the garden.  We experimented with raisins and sparkling water to make the raisins dance and the children have worked together to make a river in the sand pit.  On Monday we went to the school hall for music and movement and we have spent a lot of time outside in the sunshine.  We have plan
