Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post.

The chicks have now moved onto their new home, the children have had a lovely time watching them grow and taking care of them.

In Class 2 we have noticed that the tadpoles have started to grow legs!  After half term we will have some caterpillars.  This week we have used our new woodwork area in the garden and have been making lots of dens for the children to play in.  The children have been pretending to be chicks and made themselves beaks.  On Tuesday we went to Forest school and used hammers to make leaf prints on pieces of material.  Today the children requested that we make chocolate cakes, so we did!

In Class 1 we have planted some vegetables in our garden to support our children learn about taking care of the environment. This week the children created a police station outside - the children created whistles, handcuffs and a jail. Last week we read 'Going on a bear hunt' in forest school, this week the children have been taking themselves on a bear hunt involving the whole class. Today we went to forest school, we created bird feeders and mud paint.

Letters are in the children's trays regarding the transition to Class 2 and up to school.  Next week is half term, we look forward to seeing you all in June!
