11th October 2019

Welcome to this weeks blog post.

This week in Class 1 the children have explored cornflour and water. when mixed together it creates gloop.  The children wanted to add shaving foam, cinnamon and conditioner, this creates a thicker texture.  The children continued to show interest in blowing bubbles.  We have been outside looking under the logs, we found worms and found out about where they live and what they eat.  The fire engines continue to be popular, the children are beginning to incorporate this into their role play.

This week in Class 2 the children have explored the shark in the park story, we provided small world items for them to extend this.  On Tuesday the pirates had visited Forest School again and left the children autumn treasure hunts to complete.  The children used egg boxes to collect their items and decorated the boxes with pictures from the treasure hunt.  We have enjoyed looking at the items the children have collected on their Autumn walks, we have provided frames for the children to create pictures with their autumn treasures.  On Wednesday the children role played parties so we provided them with party decorations.  We continued the party theme on Thursday, making cakes and bunting.  This week our poem is "the wise old owl".
