Welcome to this week’s blog post.

This week in Class 1 the children have explored the concepts of full and empty with the cloud dough.  The children have shown an interest in enclosing items, we provided them with a variety of boxes and resources to allow them to explore this further.  Tweezers were also added to help strengthen the muscles in their hands.  On Thursday we went to Forest School, the children explored the pully system and rope swing.  We have been observing our wormery and adding leaves to it.

This week in Class 2 we found a Troll on Norway on the world map, we used the iPad to find out why it was there and discovered that there are lots of fairy stories with Trolls in.  We then looked at the Billy Goats Gruff story and used clay to make our own Trolls and Goats.
On Tuesday we made pumpkin pie as part of our Thanksgiving celebrations.  On Wednesday we made up our own stories and acted them out on the stage and on Thursday the children explored the clay.
We have spent lots of time in the garden making things with the large wooden blocks and clearing up all the leaves!
Today we had a parcel delivered with an Elf inside, he came with some items for us to decorate our Christmas tree!  We have also made pumpkin cookies for Thanksgiving today.

Please help
The Christmas Fayre will be taking place on Saturday 7th December (1 week tomorrow!!!)  This is one of our big fundraisers and we need help from everyone to make sure that we make as much money as possible to update the Class 1 garden.  All of the children use the Class 1 garden after lunch, therefore the improvements will benefit everyone.

Please support us by bringing in the following;

We still need lots of items for the tombola, please raid your cupboards for any alcohol, chocolates, biscuits, toiletries, children’s toys/books etc and bring to Pre-School by Thursday 5th December.

We also need more offers to bake cakes, biscuits and sausage rolls.

Last chance to order a Christmas tree.  Please help us raise money for Class 1's garden by ordering your Christmas tree with us.
