Welcome to this week’s blog post.

This week in Class 1 we have been making props for our Christmas songs, including a star and Father Christmas.  The children have been creating cakes using rice and cornflour.  There has been lots of block play using the wooden blocks and ramps, the children created bridges and enclosures for the animals.  Next week we will be introducing the Makaton sign for milk and water, the signs will be available on facebook and on the classroom door.


This week in Class 2 we have been practising our songs for the show next week.  We have started to make Christmas cards and decorations as well as some props for the show!  On Tuesday we had a party at Forest School to celebrate the end for this term, after Christmas we will be moving the Forest School session to a Friday morning.  We had some party food, played party games and made some decorations.  In the garden we have been playing hide and seek and making 'food' in the mud kitchen, the children then went to work and the 'pubber'!  The cheeky Elves have been playing lots of tricks on us, today they have drawn on the ladies photos!!!  

Christmas Fayre
The Christmas Fayre will be taking place this Saturday (tomorrow!) This is one of our big fundraisers and we need help from everyone to make sure that we make as much money as possible to update the Class 1 garden.  All of the children use the Class 1 garden after lunch, therefore the improvements will benefit everyone.
Please support us by coming along to Brill School from 11am.  We look forward to seeing lots of you there.

Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post.   This week we have added 20 eggs to our incubator and we now need to wait 21 sleeps (approximately) for them to hatch! Class 2 have started planting, if you can donate any seeds or plants please take an item from the wish list (on Class 1’s garden fence).   We also have a new water table and the children have been exploring this.   Some of the children wanted to find out more about nocturnal animals and used the iPad.   We also found ladybirds in the garden and added them to the bug hotel. In Class 1 the children have been role playing as fire fighters, they used spray bottles filled with water to put out the fire. They have also measured how tall the sweet peas have grown. Tomorrow the staff team will be attending Helicopter Stories training with Trisha Lee from make believe arts.   Caroline has already attended training with Trisha and the children in Class 2 enjoy making up their own stories to act out on ‘stage’.   So

Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post.   T his week we have been counting down the days waiting for the eggs to hatch.  We now need to wait 14 sleeps (approximately). Today we had a visit from some lambs and the children from both classes had an opportunity to meet them. Class 2 have some new tadpoles and the children have been watching them eat the lettuce we have fed them.  Earlier in the week, some of the children found mint in the garden and wanted to use it in the mud kitchen.  We then provided some mint in the classroom for the children to explore with scissors and mix with various media.  The children have been making pirate maps using teabags and using chalks to make marks in the garden.  We experimented with raisins and sparkling water to make the raisins dance and the children have worked together to make a river in the sand pit.  On Monday we went to the school hall for music and movement and we have spent a lot of time outside in the sunshine.  We have plan
