Welcome to this week’s blog post.

This week in Class 1 we have had water trays indoors, this has been very popular with the children and we have provided a variety of different sized tubes, jugs and bowls to support the
children with tipping and pouring.  We have explored the concepts of full and empty.

We went to Forest School on Tuesday and dug for treasure.  The children also used binoculars to help them look more closely at the worms.

In the class room the children have used big blocks to create enclosures for the small world animals and people.

This half term we have introduced cause and effect items including wind up fans, we have had fun exploring how to make them work.  This also helps to build up the muscles in the children's hands.

This week in Class 2 we went to the school hall for music and movement on Monday, all the children were amazing at trying to get their own shoes and socks off and on again.

This week the children have been making up their own stories and acting them out on stage, we also learnt a new poem 'popcorn, popcorn'.

The children have made their own playdough and experimented with mixing paint to create new colours.  We also make various potions using different coloured water and anything else that we could find to add!

We have been continuing letters and sounds this week, the children have enjoyed playing teddies lost in the jungle.  You can find more information here file:///C:/Users/Rebecca/Desktop/letters%20and%20sounds.pdf

On Thursday we made a castle cake following a request earlier in the week from one of the children.  Next week we have had a request for snowflake biscuits!

On Friday we went to Forest School, we went on a bear hunt, found lots of bugs and took turns on the rope swing.
