Hello and welcome to this weeks blog post. We started the week with sports day on Monday, it was amazing to see so many family members and the children were all fantastic! Please note that we break up for the summer at midday on Friday 19th July. We will return on Thursday 5th September. We would like you to take all of your children's belongings home for the summer holidays to allow us to clean and tidy. Please return questionnaires by Thursday 18th July, we welcome feedback and will use this when making plans to improve our service to you and the children. On Thursday 18th July we will be hosting a leavers afternoon tea. This is for the class 2 children and their families. Please do let us know if you are attending to ensure we have enough seats!! Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post. We now have chicks!! Yesterday the chicks started to hatch and we currently have four. The children have named them Chocolate, Caroline, Claire and Aimee Dig Yellow!!! They are very cute and the children have enjoyed looking at them. In Class 2 we have started practising for sports day races on a Monday in the school hall. We will start practising on the school field on different days after half term. We have been to Forest School and used the new flower press. We have started planting (thank you for all of the donations of seeds), building with the large blocks in the garden and we found ladybird eggs on the tree. We have continued with the cake station and the children are becoming more independent with this. In Class 1 we have baked some savory muffins due to an interest in baking. Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post. The chicks have now moved onto their new home, the children have had a lovely time watching them grow and taking care of them. In Class 2 we have noticed that the tadpoles have started to grow legs! After half term we will have some caterpillars. This week we have used our new woodwork area in the garden and have been making lots of dens for the children to play in. The children have been pretending to be chicks and made themselves beaks. On Tuesday we went to Forest school and used hammers to make leaf prints on pieces of material. Today the children requested that we make chocolate cakes, so we did! In Class 1 we have planted some vegetables in our garden to support our children learn about taking care of the environment. This week the children created a police station outside - the children created whistles, handcuffs and a jail. Last week we read 'Going on a bear hunt' in forest school...
