Welcome to this week’s blog post. This week in Class 1 the children had the opportunity to create a wormery, this followed on from us finding worms in the garden.  The children can add more worms and food to the wormy.  This week we have been exploring light on the light box, the children have used coloured blocks and cups to observe the changes.  There has been interest in the play till, the children created money and resources were provided for the children to make a shop.   Next week the children will be introduced to Makaton signs, they will be shown a new sign every week to help support communication and language.  The first sign will be sit/sitting,  The children will be shown the action and the word at the same time.  The sign will be added to Class 1's door for you to try with your children at home.  If you have any questions, please speak to Aimee. Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post.   The chicks have now moved onto their new home, the children have had a lovely time watching them grow and taking care of them. In Class 2 we have noticed that the tadpoles have started to grow legs!  After half term we will have some caterpillars.  This week we have used our new woodwork area in the garden and have been making lots of dens for the children to play in.  The children have been pretending to be chicks and made themselves beaks.  On Tuesday we went to Forest school and used hammers to make leaf prints on pieces of material.  Today the children requested that we make chocolate cakes, so we did! In Class 1 we have planted some vegetables in our garden to support our children learn about taking care of the environment. 27th September 2019

Welcome to this weeks blog post.  This week in Class 1 the children have been taking their own pictures with a real camera.  They have made marks with paint using a squirty bottle and created a fire engine from the blocks.  The children have made their own playdough and explored shaving foam with ice. This week in Class 2 we made dinosaurs out of junk modelling.  We went to a very wet forest school and Tuesday and we were so excited to find a letter and treasure from the pirates, we left them one in return!  The children also helped to make the bug hotel, thank you for all the items you brought in for this.  We made gingerbread men and some of the children were able to decorate them.  The children have shown a keen interest in the bear hunt story and wrote to the bear, today the bear sent them a parcel and asked the children to make a cave so they did!  Next week we will be making soup.  We are looking for lots of real items for our role pl...
