Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post.  Thank you for responding to our question "Do you know who your child's key person is?".  We had 24 responses, 23 yes and 1 no.  We have now emailed everyone to inform you of your child's key person, if you are still unsure please speak to the room leader.  We now have a new question, "Do you read the blog?" I n Class 2 this week we have been making things for Father's day and the children have told us what they love about their dad.  The tadpoles have now moved into the pond and the caterpillars are growing!  On Wednesday, a parent baked fruit scones with the children.  We have introduced a 'curiosity' cube to the class, they have been drawing pictures and talking about the items inside the cube.  The current letter for the sound bag is 'P', if you find anything beginning with this letter, please bring it in to add to our bag.  It has been a very wet week, the children have continued go...

Hello and welcome to this week’s blog post. We have had a busy start to the last half term of this year! We have a new area by the front door with a new donation tree.  The free fruit (and random donations from Tesco!) will also be available on the new cabinet, please feel free to help yourself.  We will also display a question on the board and ask you to add a counter to the yes or no jar with your answer.  This will help us to reflect on how we are doing and help us to improve, I hope to add a comments box and paper for you to leave any suggestions relating to the question.  The current question is "Do you know who your child's key person is?" I would also like to remind you all that the library is still available for you to take preloved books from and to add any that you no longer want.  Please do have a look through with your child and choose a book to take home. I n Class 2 this week our tadpoles have started to turn into t...

In Class 2 we have noticed that the tadpoles have started to grow legs!  After half term we will have some caterpillars.  This week we have used our new woodwork area in the garden and have been making lots of dens for the children to play in.  The children have been pretending to be chicks and made themselves beaks.  On Tuesday we went to Forest school and used hammers to make leaf prints on pieces of material.  Today the children requested that we make chocolate cakes, so we did! In Class 1 we have planted some vegetables in our garden to support our children learn about taking care of the environment. We have continued to count down the days for the eggs to hatch.  We now have just 7 sleeps (approximately)!
